The Invisible God

He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters
Psalm 18:16
Though we do not see God, He sees us, and He is always there for us. Whether we’re taking our calculus test, or playing FB, walking in the streets, or even when you’re figuring how to express what you want to say in THIS post.
Last few days, during CNY ( if you still remember when that was, even after being kicked back into reality after a long, long holiday)…third day of CNY, to be exact. I went to the pool with my bro and cousin. “This should be fun”, or so I thought…
*splash splash splash* ah….nice cool water…What with the hot weather.
Somehow, I don’t know how, I slipped. I couldn’t stand up, water went in my eyes, nose, ears…I was surrounded by water. It was like I was bounded, as I couldn’t get hold of anything. Think, think, think! Kick hard both legs, use your hands… I tried to think of everything I’ve ever heard of about how to save yourself from drowning. Crap. It doesn’t seem to work. I only managed to go up and down of the water. I don’t know how to describe how I felt. Scared? I don’t think that word even justifies my thoughts and feeling at that moment. This shouldn’t be happening. All these stuff is suppose to remain only in movies. What is to happen to me? Am I like, going to see the light at the end of the tunnel soon? Questions and worries flood my mind. But then, far away in my thoughts, a small voice reminded me: No one might hear you. But you know ONE who will. You need not words to call out, for if you just cry out to Him in your heart and spirit He will hear you.
“Oh dear Lord. I’m scared. I cannot do anything. Save me”
Immediately my hand felt the edge of the pool, and I hoisted myself up. That was some close call. I never thought that that would have happened to me. But I’m so thankful that I have a God that is everywhere and hears everything. Thank God…
Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what He has done. Sing to him, sing praise to Him; tell of all His wonderful acts. Glory to his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. Look to the Lord and His strength; seek his face always. Psalm 105:1-4
