Will you be that 7000?

I don’t know how u will feel when you watch this video.



But, I felt a surge of yearning just bubbling like crazy in my heart as I watched this. If possible, I would want to teleport myself and be there crying together to God for Him. Nothing else. When I have Him, I have everything.

But, doubts came right after that surge, will any young person below 30 would be even interested in such things or something they believe can afford to wait while they chase their dreams. Looking at how things are, it is saddening. BUT, this verse came to mind in Romans.

Romans 11:3-4
Elijah the prophet complained to God about the people of Israel and said, 3 “Lord, they have killed your prophets and torn down your altars. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me, too.”4 And do you remember God’s reply? He said, “No, I have 7,000 others who have never bowed down to Baal!”

The bolded verse of the 7000 brought me to tears, this morning as I sat down on my bed listening to the video. I felt like Elijah sometimes, being so alone in my pursuit of His will for myself and the nation. I felt like I’m not ambitious enough just because I don’t fulfill the common ambition of wanting to be a millionaire by 30, to own a fancy car, to get a high flying corporate job, own this, own that, get this, get that by a certain age.

Then the Holy Spirit impressed on my heart, “Doing God’s will is the MOST ambitious thing u will ever do”. Wow. God's will is SO not necessary limited to going full time serving in church. It’s about how can we use our talents i.e. making money, doing business, making music, doing graphics design, drawing, leading in the corporate world to put God’s mark in the place we are called to? That is the basic definition of God’s will.

God is now issuing a call again to all young people to converge again for this ultimate call to 1 purpose that is to stamp God’s mark everywhere in the market, mamaks, corporate world, banks, homes, uni, colleges etc.

A group of people are committing themselves to a media-fast from Facebook, Twitter, etc.. to prepare themselves to converge in Kluang from 15-17th September 2010 to pray for new direction. Safe to say, I will be there.

Without God, everything I have, I do, I possess will be meaningless.
